Pennsylvania Ave. Oak Creek, WI 53154 4-Week Theatre Class Workshop (Ages 8 - 18) Join our 4-week theatre workshop series, meeting weekly to explore a different theatre topic. Each session focuses on essential performance skills, from acting techniques to scriptwriting and audition prep. Session Topics: Shakespeare for Young Actors (June 17th) – Explore classic scenes and monologues while learning to bring Shakespeare’s words to life with confidence and creativity. Young Playwrights Workshop (June 24th) – Develop your own short play while learning scriptwriting fundamentals, character development, and dialogue. Stage Combat (July 8th) – Practice choreographed fight techniques and movement to create safe yet exciting stage combat performances. Audition Coaching (July 15th) – Learn how to choose the best audition material, polish performances, and build confidence to stand out. Students should bring a prepared one-minute monologue or song. Dress code: It is recommended that you wear any type of comfortable athletic wear. Tennis shoes are recommended. Please bring a water bottle. 8 Week Music Sessions Group Violin String Skills (Ages 6+) Calling all violin and viola students! All ages (6+) and skill levels are encouraged to join this group musical experience. Our rehearsals will focus on developing: Basic orchestra etiquette The ability to play/listen in a group Proper posture Music Literacy And many other important skills! We will perform our group piece at the end of our course. *students need to provide their own instrument Group Popular Music Vocal Styles (Ages 11 - 17) Explore the techniques and vocal ins-and-outs of singing in a different genre every week. Learn to sing the songs you love! We will cover genres such as Pop, Rock, Folk, Jazz, and more. This class is great for singers who are looking for versatility in their coaching and want to try new things. Group Voice (Ages 8 - 13) Find your voice! Adult Kayaking TripsEnrichmentSummer 2025 Kayaking Trips Big Muskego Lake Scenic Kayak Tours Come join the Muskego Recreation staff and our very own Conservatist guiding you on a kayaking excursion on beautiful Big Muskego Lake. Big Muskego Lake is recognized as a regionally significant natural area and an Important Bird Area. Enjoy an evening of paddling this deep-water marsh habitat via kayak to observe nesting Ospreys, eagles, pelicans, swans, potentially endangered Forster’s terns, as well as many other marsh birds and waterfowl within the upcoming summer season. This trip will require competent paddling ability. Bring binoculars (and/or camera). Attendees are encouraged to bring their own kayak or canoe, paddles, & PFD, however these will be provided at an additional expense, if needed. Trip will commence and end at Boxhorn Boat Launch located at S90W13976 Boxhorn Drive. Fox River Guided Tour Come join the Muskego Recreation staff on a one-way paddling trip down the Fox River. On this evening trip down the Fox River, participants will enjoy 6 miles of secluded beauty of the river starting at the Big Bend Park and traveling to Bobberz Tavern which is located right on the river at 8330 Fox River Rd, Waterford. This section is beautiful in its own right which travels through secluded prairie scenery and is just north of the Tichigan State Wildlife Area. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own kayak or canoe, paddles, & PFD, however these will be provided at an additional expense if needed. Complimentary shuttling will be available before the trips begins, making your vehicle available at Bobberz Tavern where we finish. The shuttle will depart promptly at 5:00pm. If you are utilizing your own kayak, you will need to make arraignments to drop your equipment at Big Bend Park Boat Launch before the trips begins and have your vehicle at Bobberz Tavern to catch the 5:00pm shuttle. Additional details regarding shuttle transportation and equipment drop off will be provided at registration. Lulu Lake Scenic Guided Kayak Tour Come join the Muskego Recreation staff on a paddle into one of Southeastern Wisconsin’s secret lakes, Lulu Lake! This lake is lovely and charming, and the trip will have a sense of adventure and exploration. We will depart on a 5-mile paddle starting at Eagle Springs Lake to find this secret lake, one that’s surrounded by public land in the Kettle Moraine State Forest and protected as a state natural area. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own kayak or canoe, paddles, & PFD, however these will be provided at an additional expense if needed. We will meet at Eagle Springs Lake public boat launch off Wambold Road, Mukwonago. Additional details of location will be provided at registration. Little Muskego Lake Social Paddle Come join the Muskego Recreation staff on an evening social paddle on Little Muskego Lake! While we enjoy the tranquility and vast space that Big Muskego Lake offers kayakers, Little Muskego Lake can also provide a fantastic setting for an evening paddle. Take part on this 4-5 mile summer night leisure paddle while we soak in the quaint urban setting of Little Muskego Lake! Attendees are encouraged to bring their own kayak or canoe, paddles, & PFD, however these will be provided at an additional expense if needed. Trip will commence and end at Idle Isle Park.Summer 2025

It's often used as cardiac rehabilitation therapy for patients with chronic heart failure. The Ba Duan Jin movements and breathing techniques are primarily designated as a form of medical qigong, meant to improve health. Babysitter's Training - American Red CrossEnrichmentBabysitter's Training Ages 11 & Up Develop skills in five critical areas: leadership, safety and safe play, basic care, first aid and professionalism; to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or adult guardians. Babysitters will receive information and practice skills in first aid and rescue breathing. This course does not provide certification for these - participants would need to take a CPR and First Aid class to obtain certification. Babysitters MUST attend the FULL DAY if they are registered for that class, or BOTH days if registered for that option. Students must participate in all lesson activities and complete a series of skills to receive a course participation certificate. Please wear appropriate clothing as some activities will be done on the floor. Participants must be age 11 on or before the first indicated class session. **Please bring a pen and notebook, a snack, and drink along for class. Chair Flex & StretchFitnessChair Flex & Stretch Suitable for those who prefer a gentler approach to exercise and want to improve mobility, strength, and balance to the entire body. Great for those with Arthritis*, providing participants with a fun and beneficial exercise experience that can supplement, but not replace exercises that are prescribed by a doctor or therapist. This group exercise program has been specially designed and modified to incorporate a series of movement and proper exercise techniques to help increase overall stamina. Set to music to rejuvenate you, this class is done while sitting in a chair so the pelvis and hips are stabilized, enabling easier movement of the torso and arms without fear of injury or strain. Optional standing posture alternatives will be introduced as well, with the use of a chair for balance and support. No mat exercises or lying on the floor. Canes, walkers and fitness poles are welcome. *Adults with any type of arthritis or fibromyalgia are eligible. Participants must be able to walk independently or, if in a wheelchair, they must be able to transfer to a straight-backed chair.
