4K Wraparound CareFranklin Public Schools, in partnership with the Franklin Community Education & Recreation Department, is excited to share that 4K Wraparound Care will be available beginning in the 2026-27 school year. This new program will provide before- or after-session care for students enrolled in our half-day 4K program, helping support families who need a full-day option. While 4K Wraparound Care will be located at Ben Franklin Elementary School, Franklin Public Schools will provide mid-day transportation to/from the child’s home school for their AM or PM 4K class. Adult Kayaking Trips (Summer 2026)Enrichment/Senior ProgramsSummer 2026 Kayaking Trips Fox River Guided Tour Come join the Muskego Recreation staff on a one-way paddling trip down the Fox River. On this evening trip down the Fox River, participants will enjoy 6 miles of secluded beauty of the river starting at the Big Bend Park and traveling to Bobberz Tavern which is located right on the river at 8330 Fox River Rd, Waterford. This section is beautiful in its own right which travels through secluded prairie scenery and is just north of the Tichigan State Wildlife Area. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own kayak or canoe, paddles, & PFD, however these will be provided at an additional expense if needed. Complimentary shuttling will be available before the tripsbegins, making your vehicle available at Bobberz Tavern where we finish. The shuttle will depart promptly at 5:00 PM. If you are utilizing your own kayak, you will need to make arrangements to drop your equipment at Big Bend Park Boat Launch before the trips begins and have your vehicle at Bobberz Tavern to catch the 5:00 PM shuttle. Additional details regarding shuttle transportation and equipmentdrop off will be provided at registration. Lulu Lake Scenic Guided Kayak Tour Come join the Muskego Recreation staff on a paddle into one of Southeastern Wisconsin’s secret lakes, Lulu Lake! This lake is lovely and charming, and the trip will have a sense of adventure and exploration. We will depart on a 5-mile paddle starting at Eagle Springs Lake to find this secret lake, one that’s surrounded by public land in the Kettle Moraine State Forest and protected as a state natural area. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own kayak or canoe, paddles, & PFD, however these will be provided at an additional expense if needed. We will meet at Eagle Springs Lake public boat launch off Wambold Road, Mukwonago. Additional details of location will be provided at registration. Chair Flex & Stretch (Summer 26)Adult FitnessChair Flex & Stretch Suitable for those who prefer a gentler approach to exercise and want to improve mobility, strength, and balance to the entire body. Great for those with Arthritis*, providing participants with a fun and beneficial exercise experience that can supplement, but not replace exercises that are prescribed by a doctor or therapist.This group exercise program has been specially designed and modified to incorporate a series of movement and proper exercise techniques to help increase overall stamina. Set to music to rejuvenate you, this class is done while sitting in a chair so the pelvis and hips are stabilized, enabling easier movement of the torso and arms without fear of injury or strain. Optional standing posture alternatives will be introduced as well, with the use of a chair for balance and support. No mat exercises or lying on the floor. Canes, walkers and fitness poles are welcome. *Adults with any type of arthritis or fibromyalgia are eligible. Participants must be able to walk independently or, if in a wheelchair, they must be able to transfer to a straight-backed chair.
