American Red Cross Babysitter's Training with Child and Infant- Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Blended Learning
The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training r.25 program is designed to prepare youth ages 11-16 to safely and confidently care for children and infants. It includes hands-on activities, videos, and discussions to develop essential, real-life readiness babysitting skills. The course covers feeding, diapering, picking up and holding children, safety, and emergency response.
Topics covered include:
- Being the Best Babysitter in the Game
- Safe and Sound on the Job
- Caring for Children and Infants from Mealtime to Bedtime
- Playing and Promoting Positive Behavior
- Choking (First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor’s Manual
- Life-Threatening Bleeding
- Pediatric - Child and Infant CPR/AED
- Sudden Illness
- Injuries and Environmental Illness
This course will include a blended learning online piece (takes about 3 hours) that participants must complete BEFORE attending our day long class.
After attending class, participating in the activities, and completing the hands-on skills, students will receive an American Red Cross Babysitter's Training certification (valid 10 years) PLUS American Red Cross Pediatric (Child and Infant) CPR/AED/ First Aid Certification (valid 2 years). All course materials included.
