Art Classes (Fall 2026)
Art Classes with Bonnie Schetski
Ages: 14+, Participants under the age of 12-14 must be accompanied by an adult also enrolled in the session.
Bonnie Schetski is a Wisconsin-based artist and educator whose work celebrates the movement, depth, and serenity of water and the habitats it sustains. Working across painting, ceramics, and layered hand-cut paper, she creates pieces that invite a sense of calm, connection, and reflection. Bonnie earned her BS from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse and her MFA from New Mexico State University, focusing on drawing, printmaking, and photography. She has taught at UW–La Crosse and Winona State University, and she continues to lead adult classes through community-based programs across Wisconsin. Passionate about nurturing creativity, Bonnie loves helping others discover and develop their own unique artistic voice.

Tapping into Creativity
Rediscover the joy of creating! In this two-hour session, you’ll reconnect with your natural sense of play and exploration—just like you did as a child. Through simple, fun exercises, you’ll unlock your creativity, experiment freely, and let your imagination flow without judgment. Perfect for anyone looking to refresh their creative spirit and enjoy the process of making art. No experience necessary, just a desire to embrace your inner child. Experiment with materials and techniques with no pressure to “get it right.” All supplies are included.
The Art of Seeing & Drawing
This six-week course introduces students to the fundamentals of drawing. Students will explore mark making, light, shadow, and spatial relationships while experimenting with various drawing techniques and mediums. By the end of the course, students will develop the ability to perceive and render three-dimensional forms accurately.
Learning outcomes:
- Develop your eye to see and render form into line, shape and value
- Discover the various approaches to mark making and creating value to create realistic images
- Appreciate the importance of positive and negative space, accuracy and proportion
- All Supplies are included!
