Franklin (Corner of Hwy 100 & Loomis) Group Glee Pop Choir (Ages 6 - 10) This is a beginner show choir class in which students will learn to sing and perform together with simple choreography. Students will choose two songs per semester to perform at APA’s music recitals. Each week students will work on basic singing techniques, while learning performance skills that will help them build the necessary confidence needed to perform together for a live audience. Throughout the year, students will gain team-building and leadership skills, while making fun social connections. Group Drama Jr (Ages 6 - 10) In this exciting and interactive class, young actors will embark on a journey of creativity, imagination, and self-expression. Through a variety of fun games, improvisation exercises, and scene work, children will learn the fundamentals of acting while building confidence, communication skills, and teamwork. Whether they dream of being on stage or simply love to play pretend, this class offers a safe and supportive environment for children to explore the magic of acting and unleash their inner performer! These mini sessions are perfect for beginners or for busy families that aren't ready to commit to a regular season dance class! This is an excellent way to try something new, meet new friends and develop new skills. Join us for these 6-week sessions of fun and dancing! Little Learners: Caregiver & Me Classes (Winter/Spring)Preschool & YouthLittle Learners : Caregiver and Me Classes (Ages 3-5 years) Welcome to an exciting, interactive new 3-week session designed for young children, ages 3-5 and their caregivers! We will have fun bonding, learning and growing together through storytelling, creative movement, and hands-on activities. February Theme: Animal Safari In this 3-week session, we will explore different kinds of animals. Each child/caregiver will have a passport to our safari sessions.At the end of each session, the little learner will receive a stamp in their “safari passport” as well as a little animal friend to take home! I encourage children to bring a favorite stuffed animal to join us in our adventures! May Theme: Spring has Sprung In this 3-week session, we will experience Spring! Each week, the little learner (and caregiver) will plant seeds, take them homeand then watch (and record) how much their plants grow during our May sessions. Babysitter's Training - American Red Cross (Winter/Spring)Preschool & YouthBabysitter's Training Ages 11 & Up Develop skills in five critical areas: leadership, safety and safe play, basic care, first aid and professionalism; to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or adult guardians. Babysitters will receive information and practice skills in first aid and rescue breathing. This course does not provide certification for these - participants would need to take a CPR and First Aid class to obtain certification. Babysitters MUST attend ALL DAY of class. Students must participate in all lesson activities and complete a series of skills to receive a course participation certificate.
