Daytime Crafting for Adults & Seniors (Winter/Spring)Enrichment/Senior ProgramsEnrich & Create: Daytime Crafting for Adults and Seniors (Co-op with Muskego) Join the talented Mary Zingsheim each month for an engaging and enjoyable crafting session. You can create something fun and useful as well as meet new crafting friends along the way! No prior experience is necessary, just bring your creativity and enthusiasm! Hot Glue Embroidery: In this session, we will use hot glue to make a pattern on an Adia cloth, then embroider a design over it using embroidery floss and a tapestry needle. (Please bring a tapestry needle and hot glue gun, if you have one.) Cardboard Heart Loom: In this session, we will make a heart shaped loom out of cardboard and then weave yarn through it to make a lovely heart wall hanging. Pool Noodle Centerpiece: In this session, we will make a beautiful spring centerpiece using a pool noodle as our base. Forms of fiber art include crocheting, knitting, sewing, needlepoint, macrame, weaving, felting, embroidery, rug-making and more! Come and join a group of fellow fiber art creators! Register for one session, or register for them all! Please bring a fiber art project to work on. This can be a current project, an old project or bring something new that you have wanted to try but haven’t. I will demonstrate a different fiber art/technique each session. Held on Sunday afternoons at the Franklin High School Softball Field, this program offers age-appropriate instruction in a relaxed, encouraging environment. Whether your child is picking up a bat for the first time or looking to sharpen their skills, our experienced coaches will lead them through drills, mini-games, and teamwork-focused activities. Join the fun, develop your skills, and enjoy the spring sunshine with Franklin Youth Baseball! *Volunteer coaches are needed. Instruction will be provided by the Little League staff. Franklin Rec Summer Youth Baseball League (Winter/Spring)Sports Leagues & ClinicsFranklin Rec Summer Youth Baseball League (Coach Pitch & TBall) Boys & Girls – ages 4 through 8 It’s the time of the year to play baseball with the Franklin Recreation Department. Come and join us for our summer youth baseball leagues. These are great programs which teach the basics of baseball/softball within a fun environment. There will be two weeks of practice before games begin. Once games begin there will be one game day and one practice day per week. Registration Deadline: May 15, 2026 You are not guaranteed to be on a team if you register after the deadline. *Volunteer coaches are needed. Coaches will receive a 50% refund at the end of the season* The head coaches will notify their team once the rosters have been made with team schedules. Practices will begin the week of June 8th. Schedule TBD. Coaches meeting: Comm Ed and Rec Center - Community Room: May 27th @ 6 pm. Games will run Mondays (Tball) and Tuesdays (Coach Pitch) night from June 22 – July 28. LOCATION: St. Martins Park (Next to Robinwood Elementary) ***Note: All children must bring a baseball glove each practice/game. T-Ball Boys & Girls, Ages 4-5 T-Ball is the entry level to baseball. There’s no pitching, rather the batter hits the ball off a stationary batting “T.” During T-Ball, your child will develop the primary skills of hitting, running, fielding and throwing. The players will gain an understanding of the fundamentals, which allows for minimal competitive league play. NO scores will be kept and each player will have a chance to bat each inning. PRACTICES: Start June 10 or 11 on Wednesday or Thursday evenings for 45 mins from 5:30-7:45pm depending on coaches availability. No Practice July 1st or 2nd. GAMES: Mondays, June 22nd – July 27th TIME: 5:15-6pm or 6:15-7pm. *Games last 50 minutes. Schedule will be set once registration closes. Coach Pitch Boys & Girls, Ages 6-8 Coach Pitch allows the coaches to pitch to their team based on each player’s needs. Shuttlecocks (plastic material for novices and feather material for skilled players) will be provided. Participants, please make sure to wear gym shoes.
