NEW! Traditional Karate for All Ages
Ages 5-99
Traditional Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Karate – is an ancient martial arts style from Okinawa that ascribes to a softblock, hard-counter, philosophy and dates back to the 12th Century. Students will learn movements that were traditionally only taught to the Samurai Class. Shorin-Ryu training offers practical self-defense for people of all sizes and ages.
Midwest Shorin-Ryu Health & Wellness Center provides a place for holistic, whole body exercise and training – Mind, Body & Spirit. Their application of Shorin-Ryu, Suiryushindo, teaches the practitioner to let their body “flow like water”. Water at rest is peaceful and calm. Water disturbed cannot be stopped.
